How do I scan my ingredients?

Tap "New Scan" on the home screen, then choose to take a photo or pick one from your library. You can add multiple photos in one scan. Tap "Detect Ingredients" when you're ready.

Can I enter ingredients without taking a photo?

Yes. On the scan screen, tap "Type Manually" to skip the camera entirely and enter ingredients by hand.

How many free scans do I get?

Free users receive 5 scans per month. The counter resets at the start of each calendar month. Upgrade to Premium for unlimited scans.

The app didn't detect all my ingredients. What can I do?

After scanning, you can review and edit the detected ingredient list before generating recipes. Add any missing items or remove anything that was incorrectly detected.

How do I save a recipe?

On any recipe, tap the heart icon to add it to your Favourites. You can also add recipes to collections from the recipe detail screen.

How do I create a collection?

Go to the Favourites tab and tap "New Collection". Give it a name, then add recipes to it from any recipe detail screen.

How do I delete a scan?

On the home screen, swipe left on a scan and tap Delete. This will remove the scan and its associated recipes.

How do I cancel my Premium subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, find "What Can I Cook?" and tap Cancel Subscription.

My subscription isn't being recognised. What should I do?

On the paywall screen, tap "Restore Purchases". If the issue persists, please contact us at cjrutledge@gmail.com.

Is my data private?

Your scans and recipes are stored securely and are only accessible to your account. We do not share your data with third parties. Photos are used solely for ingredient detection and are not stored permanently.
