This privacy policy applies to Easy Notes and Tasks (bundle identifier: com.cjdesigns.tasksnotes), developed by Chris Rutledge.
To let you sync your tasks and notes across your own devices, the text you enter (task titles, note titles, and note content) is sent to and stored on our server. This is the minimum needed for the app's core sync feature to work — there is no separate analytics or tracking data collected alongside it.
The app does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number. Instead, on first launch the app generates a private sync code for you. Entering that same code on another device links it to the same data. We do not know who you are — only the code identifies your data, and we recommend keeping it private, similar to a password.
Any note you choose to lock with a passcode is encrypted on your device before it is ever sent to our server. Your passcode is never transmitted or stored by us — only you know it, and we have no way to read the contents of a locked note or to recover a forgotten passcode.
The app does not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking services.
You can delete individual tasks and notes at any time from within the app. To request deletion of all data associated with your sync code, contact us at the email below.
The app does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13.
If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
